What inspired you to write this Chapbook/Book? What else should we know about it? Or just add the Blurb.

The Poetry Salon, founded in 2013 by Tresha Faye Haefner, is a community where anyone can access their creativity and grow. It is a thriving organization where writers choose between one-day writing workshops, online eclasses, and in-depth craft classes. Participants showcase their work four times a year at cumulative class readings. Many members have gone on to win awards, and even teach creative writing classes of their very own. The Salon is growing into a resource for leaders and entrepreneurs looking for information and support to create projects and products that will monetize their talents.

What was your journey to publication like?

I founded The Poetry Salon with my Husband in 2013 and held quarterly eight-week classes in our home in Culver City for up to six people per class. After five years of doing this, it seemed the time to collect the better pieces that had emerged between two covers. We published independently POD, and we’re very proud of the results. The things learned about facilitating creative writing workshops I put in our textbook Method and Mystery: A Research-Based Guide to Teaching Poetry, Plus Sixty Original Prompts to Take Your Students Deeper.

Thanks to the pandemic and our relocation to Costa Rica, the Salon has shifted to being a principally online effort.
