Susan Notar has flown over Iraq wearing body armor and makes a mean beurre blanc sauce.  She is a Pushcart prize nominee whose work has appeared in a number of publications including, Gyroscope Review, Written in Arlington, Artemis, Burningword, Burgeon, Antologia de Poemas, Alianaza Latina, Joys of the Table:  An Anthology of Culinary Verse, and The Forgotten River.  She works at the U.S. State Department helping vulnerable communities in the Middle East.
